You know those mornings when you're running late and have to skip breakfast? or when you feel like spending even 5 mins preparing breakfast in the morning is a waste of time when you could be cramming for that test? Well then I have the perfect solution for you!
These overnight oats can be made the night before then in the morning all you have to do is grab a spoon and go, you can even eat them on the way to school/ work or at school/work.
For the berry version all I use is 1/3 cup of milk, 1/3 cup of porridge oats, 1 tbsp. of chia seeds, 1 tbsp. of golden syrup and a handful of frozen berries. Just throw them into a mug or container, stir together, put on the lid and put it in the fridge overnight. Its the perfect healthy, nutritious grab-and-go breakfast as it's low in saturated fat, has no cholesterol, is very low in sodium and is high in calcium and iron. Below is the nutritinoal info for the recipe.
I'll be bringing you another variation on this overnight oats recipe soon, so I hope you enjoy...
