Fruit infused water is everywhere right now, all over tumblr, We Heart It and Youtube, so I thought I'd throw my two cents into the mix and show you some of my favorite combinations. First up is the obvious Strawberry and Mint which is always a winner, especially when I have a mint plant in the garden to use. Strawberry has anti ageing properties and mint aids digestion and adds sweetness to the water without the sugar.
Another option is Raspberry and orange, the raspberries and orange contain strong antioxidants such as vitamin C and oranges also help lower cholesterol as they are full of soluble water.
And finally not pictured is my personal favourite- Kiwi and Orange. Orange is good for the immune system so helps fight illnesses whilst kiwis are full of vitamin A which is great for your skin and eyes and vitamin E to help repair damaged cells.
Other great things to add to your water are...
- Lime which helps curb appetite
- Cinnamon to help stabilise blood sugar levels.
- Lemon helps detox the liver
- Cucumber is hydrating and flushes out toxins
- Pineapple is an anti-inflammatory
- Watermelon helps the body flush out toxins by helping the liver and kidneys filter out ammonia.
