My Little Gypset Box: August

My little box posts really are my favourite posts to photograph even when as with this particular box I don't loveeee the contents. Also I apologize for how late this is going up but It arrived late anyway then I was on holiday and then I got rather busy so sorry. I knew when I saw this theme that it wasn't gonna be one of my favourites but I'm still quite pleased. I was disappointed in the non-beauty items this month, whilst I liked the Hair Bobbles and they are useful to me (there was 4 but I'm currently wearing one!), I really didn't like the Bag. Whilst it had a pretty pattern on it, I just don't think I'll ever use it. However I did really enjoy the beauty items this month. The print was also really cute and I liked the quote. I got a Korres Body Milk to add to my growing collection of body moisturisers that I've received from My Little Box. It smells so nice and makes my skin feel lovely and soft. From there in house line I received a beautiful Bronzer Compact. How cute are those little yellow umbrellas?! Unfortunately the bronzer does look a little orange on my skin, but to be honest, almost every bronzer does. It has a lovely large mirror and also I like the fact that it is quite matte. I do however love the So Susan Colour Hybrid lip and cheek tint. It's a gorgeous colour and it buffs into the skin really well. However you have to make sure to only use the tiniest bit because it really is rather strong. Unlike a lot of double use products it isn't super drying on the lips either so can genuinely be used on both the cheeks and the lips.
I'd still recommend this subscription even with the occasional disappointing product because overall the quality really is great.

August Summary

September is upon us and unfortunately that means a return to school. So here's what Ive been doing with my last bits freedom (It wasn't much).
1. My friends dad was on a game show on TV haha! He was on Two Tribes on BBC2, he was really good and actually won it!
2. My first visit to Five Guys after we went to see the Inbetweeners. the movie was alright, bits of it were funny but some bits were just plain cringey however I did fall in love with Five Guys. There burgers were DELICIOUS.
3. I decided to put all my lip products to good use in a little piece of art for my wall.
4. More summer selfies with my sister. The weird thing is I dont even know when or where this was taken.
5. My brother returned from his five week trip around Thailand, Vietnam, China and Cambodia which he loved so I baked him some 'Welcome Home' brownies.
6. I made quite a mess whilst making LaurDIY's notebook.
7. I have to include a picture of Alfie in each monthly summary post. Sorry not sorry.
8. We had a little family trip to Moreton-in-Marsh (I think that's what it's called) and we had a lovely lunch out and walked all round the antique shops, one of which had this gorgeous Alice in Wonderland themed display which I loved.

August Favourites

August Favourites

1.Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Ole Flamingo-I have a review of this going up in a couple of days, but in short, these are incredible and you should immediately go and buy one. They seriously are Holy Grail material.
2.Orphan Black- I have been obsessed with this show and actually watched both seasons in 6 days. I know, I have some serious issues. Cosima is my fave clone I think and I love her and Delphine together, they make such a cute couple.
3.Five Guys Food-A Five Guys just recently opened up in Touchwood Solihull and although I have only been once, it has made it on to my Favourites because it was just so damn good. Though I would not recommend a date there, its kinda hard to eat a bacon cheeseburger with all the trimmings gracefully. The prices are also not as bad as I thought, they are about the same as a Nandos.
4.Costa Coffee Caffe Caramella- I have officially found my favourite hot drink ever, this beats the Greggs Caramel Latte and the Starbucks Caramel Macchiato. Plus it is way cheaper as it is only £2.20. Though its not quite as good as a Caramel Frappuccino I'd have to say. I'm not actually a huge coffee drinker and actually only drink it when I go out, because I don't really like it if its not caramel flavoured, but this is perfect.
5.Golden Compass Book-I really enjoyed the first book of the His Dark Materials trilogy which is The Golden Compass. My friend had recommended it to me and I loved the movie so thought I'd give it a try and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. However I think that the trilogy just goes downhill from the first one and I wasn't actually a fan of the second or third.
6.Barry M Matte Nail paint in Crush- I bought this last winter when they first launched and wasn't really a fan but with the autumnal weather approaching I decided to give it another try and fell in love. I really love the matte effect as well as the colour.
7. HeyItsRae on Youtube-Over the summer, I decided to try watching some new youtubers and fell in love with HeyItsRae. She's soo funny and her videos are interesting and unique, you should really go and watch some!
