Butterfly Heart Shadow Box

I am in love with this adorable butterfly shadow box!

Supplies-
Paint samples
Butterfly whole punch
White Card
Shadow box
Tweezers
Glue (liquid, not pritt stick)
Pencil

Method-

1. Use the butterfly punch to punch out many butterflies all in various shades of your chosen colour.
I would advise you to do this whilst watching TV or something because it takes forever to punch out as many as you will need. I did it whilst watching Abraham Lincoln-Vampire Hunter which may I just say is so bad it is good!

2. Then you need to fold all the butterflies in half.RIBBA Frame IKEA You can place the motif on the front or back of the extra deep frame. The mount enhances the picture and makes framing easy.
This is the frame that I used which is from Ikea here
3.Now cut the piece of card to fit the shadow box and use a pencil to faintly draw the outline of a heart.

4.Use the tweezers to hold the butterflies folded together then dab them lightly into the glue and place into its position. Start with the darkest coloured butterflies at the bottom and then lighten the colour as you go up creating a gradual colour change.

5. Add the piece of the card to the shadow box and you're finished.

*If you're wondering why the finished product is purple when the other photos show blue butterflies, it is because I made a blue one but didn't like it so made a second one in purple for my nans birthday present.
