So I'm going to London with my friends in a few weeks and thought I'd give you a peek at what I'll be taking in my bag with me! All of these things are basically just what I'd carry with me for any summer adventure I go on, ignoring the essentials such as purse, keys, phone etc. In hindsight the title of this post now seems misleading haha!
The backpack which is featured in the picture is one I bought recently from Primark, I couldn't resist the gorgeous boho fringing on it and when I saw that it zipped up and had a magnetic closure, plus has three pockets inside, well I was sold. Starting with the very essential luggage; drinks and snacks. Usually if I'm going out for the day that involves an early wake up call, thus I usually need a cup of coffee or green tea to get me going, so you will rarely see me out of the house before 8am without a travel mug in my hand. I picked up this particular one in Primark after I dropped my Costa one on the floor and smashed it *Insert crying emoji* I liked the bright colours and slim design. I also like to carry a bottle of water or something else as well for later in the day. Even if we do end up going out for lunch I always like to have a healthy snack with me, today I have some light Tesco popcorn as I couldn't find any ProperCorn or Metcalfe's, plus a Yoyo bear which my brothers girlfriend introduced me to. They're like winders but made from pure fruit and thicker with a slightly more rubbery texture.
In the summer it's always important to stay protected from the sun, so I always try to carry a mini sun lotion this one I picked up in the clearance section of boots and at least one pair of sunglasses with me! To keep myself smelling fresh I usually carry a mini body spray or deodorant and to stop shine I always have a pack of oil sheets with me. I swear there's a pack in every bag I own, but these Kleenex ones are soooo good. And I always carry my new powerbar wherever I go as everyone knows how unreliable smartphone batteries are nowadays. Many a time at work this has saved me or more recently when I went to Stratford and had to wait for an extra hour for the train because we had just missed the last one back home.
Let me know what your summer bag essentials are in the comments...
