DIY Bedroom Decor

Today I wanted to share with you a few of the DIY decorating projects that I have been adding to my room over the summer. 

PHOTO COLLAGE

The first one (the photo wall) has been there since I moved but I have added lots of new quotes to it recently (the ones above the photo collage in the centre) so I thought I would include it.

I have been collecting things and adding to the wall since I moved house which is a whole year and a half ago now! Some of the stuff was on my wall in my old house, however the main addition since moving was the big photo collage in the centre which my friends Rose and Liz made for me for my birthday last year, it was such a thoughtful gift and easily one of the best I've ever been given.

QUOTE GLOBE

I actually got the inspiration for this off of Shay Mitchell's Instagram,when she posted this picture...

When I saw it I just fell in love with it and knew I had to have a go at recreating it. Basically I just got this globe from the 99p store and drew out the quote with a pencil copying it off a picture I found online, then used white acrylic paint and went over it 4-5 times. I'm really happy with how it turned out, considering how terrible I am at painting.

DIY DREAMCATCHER

Here is a really good DIY done by one of my favourite youtubers LaurDIY that I followed to do the weaving in the centre of it. For the ring I used half of an embroidery hoop then wrapped it in twine and used an old pair of earrings that I never wore for the feathers and the charms in the bottom.

February Summary

Rather than doing a weekly photo post, I've decided to do a monthly one, since week to week my lifes not that interesting haha! So at the end of the month I will have a little photo montage of everything I've been up to that month, so heres February...

1.Me, Liz and Rose (From L-R) ready to head out to my friend Shonagh's 16th 
2. I got a christmas yankee candle for £2.99 in the sales and am being a complete rebel burning it in February :0
3. I got loads of photos printed off at last, I love looking at all the memories and I've stuck some on my walls and some in my Smash Journal.
4.Finally got limo hire sorted for prom in july, exciting!
5.I found the cutest note in my bedroom off Rose after my friends left the little movie night mentioned in number 10.
6.I've finally found something to do with my paper straw obsession :)
7. Rose and me at another of our friends' Sean's 16th party. Rose is gonna be so happy she got three mentions in one post haha :)
8.Valentines day nails.
9.Me being super proud that I beat my brother at superhero comics on my new favourite app-quiz up! Also mentioned in my monthly favourites
10.Had some of the girls round for a movie and pizza night and watched 'Last Vegas' and 'The sitter'

So what have you been up to in February and whos excited for March? I know I am because it's my birthday! 

Doctor Who Tardis Melted Crayon Art

As Doctor Who was absent from my Saturday this weekend ,my sister and I decided to do something that we have wanted to do for a long time... :)

...Melt crayons! So we we made a Melted crayon rainbow TARDIS picture.

What you need:

A Canvas

Crayons

Cardboard

Paper

Glue Gun

GLue Sticks

Hair-dryer

Pen/Pencil

Scissors

1. Draw a picture of your desired object on to paper or card. Then draw round the picture onto a thick piece of cardboard but don't stick the picture down. 

2.Next position and glue the cardboard however you see fit.

3.Next grab all your crayons and put them in rainbow order 

4. Now use a hot glue gun to stick them all down.

5. Now melt the hell out of them. This is easily the longest step, so be prepared for aching arms.

Yes that is my awesome Bratz hairdryer :) 

6. Now stick your paper drawing over the top like so...

And your done!

Just leave it for half an hour or so to cool down and then its ready to hang on your walls :D

Love Potion Printable Label

I haven't posted anything in ages and I really had no idea what to post/make so this is what I came up with.

I have been seriously obsessed with 'One Upon A Time' lately and I have been wanting to make some themed graphics for the show so this is what I made.

Its a label for the love potion that Rumplestiltskin threw into the well made with Snow White and Prince Charming's hair.
