Motivational Desktop Wallpapers

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9
In January everyone's looking for a little extra motivation, whether it's getting out of bed in the morning when the sun hasn't even started to rise, if it's picking up your trainers and going for a run or putting down that gorgeous pair of heels that are on sale because you're trying to save. Which is why I decided to put together a little list of my favourite motivational desktop wallpapers because I was looking for a new one myself. Most of them ended up being from the newly discovered DesignLoveFest.com when I did a couple google searches. Their  'Dress your Tech' feature is just brilliant.
Enjoy!

DIY Bedroom Decor

Today I wanted to share with you a few of the DIY decorating projects that I have been adding to my room over the summer.

PHOTO COLLAGE
The first one (the photo wall) has been there since I moved but I have added lots of new quotes to it recently (the ones above the photo collage in the centre) so I thought I would include it.

I have been collecting things and adding to the wall since I moved house which is a whole year and a half ago now! Some of the stuff was on my wall in my old house, however the main addition since moving was the big photo collage in the centre which my friends Rose and Liz made for me for my birthday last year, it was such a thoughtful gift and easily one of the best I've ever been given.

QUOTE GLOBE
I actually got the inspiration for this off of Shay Mitchell's Instagram, when she posted this picture...
When I saw it I just fell in love with it and knew I had to have a go at recreating it. Basically I just got this globe from the 99p store and drew out the quote with a pencil copying it off a picture I found online, then used white acrylic paint and went over it 4-5 times. I'm really happy with how it turned out, considering how terrible I am at painting.

DIY DREAMCATCHER
Here is a really good DIY done by one of my favourite youtubers LaurDIY that I followed to do the weaving in the centre of it. For the ring I used half of an embroidery hoop then wrapped it in twine and used an old pair of earrings that I never wore for the feathers and the charms in the bottom.

So there we go, 3 easy DIY's to for your bedroom...

Motivational Monday #06

I know for some of you this is the worst possible kind of monday as it is for me, the monday back after a holiday...

<3

Today we are talking about sparkle!
Metaphorically speaking of course. But don't let anyone dull your physical sparkle either, you rock that sequin dress and glittery shoes. And we aren't just talking about people either, dont let any one or anything dull your sparkle.
I know for me lately I haven't been as happy and bubbly as I'd like to think I usually am, but with exams just two months away, I'm getting rather worried and there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to go to school, do all my homework, revise, socialise, blog, get enough sleep, watch my fave tv shows (I'm basically talking about the walking dead since I'm dying to watch the new episode) and do everything else that needs to be done...So my aim for this week is to stress less and sparkle more. *cringe alert*
It's also important not to let people dull your sparkle either so you have to know when its time to take yourself out of a negative environment. If someone's not letting you be who you really are or you feel like you need to edit yourself to be acceptable to them, then it's time to say goodbye. Life's just too short to be anything but happy and anything but you. In the words of Dr Seuss 'Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind'. You're getting 2 for the price of one here! But basically what I mean is if someone doesn't accept you as you are, oddities and all, then they shouldn't matter to you. If they are worth caring about then they'll let the real you sparkle.
Okay, well all in all this has been a very cringey few paragraphs, but I hope its convinced you to let the real you shine through this week.
I think this will be the last in my motivational mondays series, I know its been a short feature (6 to be exact) but they don't seem to be that popular. So I hope you like'd this last one.

Motivational Monday #05

I found this little beauty on my phone the other day. I'm pretty sure I got it off of Sam Chapman's (one half of Pixiwoo's) instagram...

This weeks message is one of positivity. Because after all a positive attitude makes for a happy life. I would usually consider myself quite the optimist but I know that at times it can be quite hard to stay positive, especially when everythings going wrong for you so remember that no matter how bad things are life will be looking for you soon, I promise. You can't deny that when you expect something to be bad, it is. So surely it should work the other way too. So remember that everything has a silver lining and thats its up to you to make sure you have good week.
And I know it may be 11pm but it is still monday so I guess I'm improving on last week :)

Motivational Monday #04

This is a problem I quite often seem to have myself...

breathe
...Like many people I spend much of my time day dreaming about the places I want to visit, the people I want to meet and the things I want to do. Many of which I'm sure I will never get round to doing (I have a bucket list board on pinterest full of things that I want to do, much of which I never will I'm sure) But as much fun as I have planning all of these things, it can sometimes take away from the adventure. Sometimes a bit of spontaneity is good! Some of the happiest, funniest memories I have are from random things that I've done rather than trips or days I've planned.
Planning what time train you're going to get to go on your adventure might be a good idea but remember to go with the flow and see where the day takes you!
So this week your homework is to do something spontaneous, leave comments below if you do please, I'd love to read them.

Lots of love and kisses...

Motivational Monday #02

Here we go, Motivational Monday number 2...

:)

I found this on pinterest as you do (I have a board FULL of these types of things, it has over 600 pins...) and it reminded me of F. Scott Fitzgerald, whom I <3.

I was first attracted to this pic due to my magpie tendencies, anything sparkly is always good :) But the quote itself is also beautiful, it reminds you that if you want something, you can do it, as long as you believe in yourself. I'm not saying your goals aren't going to take hard work, because they probably will, all I'm saying is that if you want it, you can most definitely have it if you believe you can.

So remember, it's the start of a new week full of new opportunities just for you!

Motivational Monday #01

I'm starting a new series inspired by one of my favourite bloggers/youtubers-Sprinkle of Glitter! Except when I say inspired by I really mean copied from though. I think its such a great idea to share something with all my followers that might make them smile or give them hope. And who doesn't need that on a Monday morning!

So here we go: Motivational Monday #01...

I think this is a really good one to start off the new year with. So many people each year vow to do more things that scare them and try new things. And so often the things that people fear are things that once done people find that they enjoy. So this week, all of you do something that scares you even if its just a little thing like speaking to a stranger!
