Kiko Miami Click Slick Eyeliner Review

Whilst in London with my friends a few weeks ago I popped in to the Kiko store for a look around and kept picking things up and walking around with them before realising I already had all off these things at home and that I really didn't need more lipstick or more eyeliners until of course I found this beauty in the clearance section. I'm guessing form the fact it was in the clearance section that this Miami range must of been their summer range so I'm not sure if it's still available but if it is I would definitely recommend.  The colour pay off and the amazing metallic sheen is just incredible. I really didn't expect it to be so amazing when I was trialling it in the shop and then I became very upset to realise it was OOS after realising how amazing it was. Luckily I asked one of the very busy staff members and she had a search for me and found one and I was over the moon. The staying power is pretty amazing and it dries pretty fast, I really like the fact that it's a clicky pen so that you can control the flow of liner. The only real complaint I have is that my normal black eyeliner doesn't go over the top very well, though I'm not sure if that's just because the black liner is slowly dying tbh. I find it surprisingly wearable as well which was unexpected. I put it on winged like my normal black eyeliner, only slightly thicker then put my normal black on top closer to my lash line and slightly thinner than usual so that my eyes still look defined.
Have you guys picked up any surprising products lately?

Bourjois Effect Smoky Eyeliner Review

I've never really been a fan of pencil liner, I've used liquid since I first started wearing makeup and have never really been interested in it. However lately I've decided I wanted to go for a softer look on the eyes so decided to pick up a pencil liner. I got this on one of Boots trusty old 3 for 2 offers and am amazed at the quality of it. It is the softest pencil I have ever used, it glides on so smoothly and easily and is a really dark, true black. It's smudgeable so that it can be softened but once it 'sets' so to speak it doesn't budge and stays in place all day, It even comes with a handy brush to smudge with, though it's not amazing. At £5.49 I think it really is great value for money and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

What's your opinion on liquid vs. pencil?

Benefit Minies

Anyone else get excited by the little travel minis of shampoo and stuff for when you go on holiday?
Well imagine how much I love mini makeup then. Benefit are one of those brands that I hear so much about and are so well liked that I've been wanting to try their stuff for ages, so when I saw a porefessional sample in Elle magazine, I knew I had to buy it. That was back in June I think, so when I saw a free They're Real Liner in October(?) I had to buy that too. I have to be honest £4 for a magazine is a little more than I would like to spend especially since Elle is about 50% adverts. However the most recent Issue was one I wanted to buy anyway because it was the feminist issue. It was so good, definitely worth the read, it was so inspiring and interesting and motivating.
Anyway onto the make-up, I really liked the primer, it was really good and I will definitely be buying the full size. It makes my makeup last far longer, gives a smoother base to apply foundation on and stops me getting shiny.
The liner on the other hand wasn't quite as impressive and definitely isn't one I'd be repurchasing particularly considering the price.   However it is very long lasting and lasted for a full 12 hours without smudging, the thing that let it down was the ease of application, I personally found it very hard. On the other hand if you learnt to apply eyeliner with this pen from the beginning and got used to it I think it would be far easier.
I've seen very mixed reviews on the eyeliner, so what do you think?

October Favourites

I have been watching so much youtube recently, I'm a little obsessed. But anyway, I was inspired by these to start a new feature... monthly favourites! So here goes...

1. Starbucks Chilled Caramel Macchiato Latte-These things taste amazing! As do the bottled frappuccinos.
2. ABC's Once Upon A Time-I have been watching this show since the very beginning and am totally obsessed. So happy Season 3's finally here!
3. MUA Undressed Palette-This is a beautiful and versatile palette with a great selection of colours.
4. Sara Bareilles Brave, Chasing The Sun and Hercules-Chasing the Sun is my current fave but the other two are close contenders.
5. Maynards Sour Patch Kids- I am so happy that these have arrived in England, they are delicious!
6. Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss stick in Fucshia-ristic- This has long been a favorite of mine as it has the colour of a lipstick but the sheen of a lip gloss with out the stickiness.
7. Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant by Veronica Roth-I am obsessed with these books! I read the first one in 2 days and can't wait to read the third.
8. Compass by Lady Antebellum-I have been a fan of Lady A for a while now but their new single is one of my favourites yet.
9. Loreal Super Liner Perfect Slim in Black Intense- This is my new favourite eyeliner! The tip is so thin and precise and the formula lasts all day.

And of course I have been obsessed with Katy Perry's new album, 'Prism'!

Let me know your favourites this month in the comments...

Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen Review

This is one of the best eyeliner I have ever used. I wear liquid eyeliner as part of my everyday makeup, sometimes winged. I have always struggled at applying normal pencil eyeliner as I can't get it close enough to my eyelashes. Using this eyeliner I can easily get a very thin and precise line close to my lashes and draw wings. The only downside is that after a lot of use the nib has gone a little blunt and its more difficult to do wings especially.

The pen-

I bought mine here from boots for £6.00 which I think is a great price, plus soap and glory products are usually on 3 for 2.

Pros-
  • Great price
  • Very precise application
  • Perfect for thin or thick lines and wings.
  • The colour is dark and not shiny like some liquid eyeliners.
Cons-
  • Doesn't last all that long and can sweat off in hot weather.
  • The nib can go blunt
If you try it out let me know in the comments below, and since mine has just ran out, any recommendations for other marker tip eyeliners to try out?
