Urban Decay Naked Palette vs MUA Undressed Palette

So for my birthday back in March I was lucky enough to receive the Urban Decay Naked Palette off my friends so today I thought I'd do a comparison of the MUA dupe of the first Naked palette as it's what I've used for the last year.

I think these two pictures say it all really!

The pigmentation of the Urban Decay palette is absolutely incredible compared to MUA, the left is the MUA and right is the equivalent Urban Decay colour. The difference is much more pronounced in the lighter colours but can also be seen in the darker colours. The shimmery colours also appear brighter and have more shimmer to them. The blendability (Is that a word?) of both brands is excellent and the brush that comes with the naked palette is of such a high quality considering it comes with a palette. The MUA one as expected is not.
The lasting power of the Urban Decay ones is also better than the MUA, particularly with the Primer Potion underneath (Which may I just say is amazing!). Due to how soft and crumbly the eyeshadow is there is quite a lot of fall out but I'll happily accept that as the price for how good these eye shadows are. Which leads me onto the actual price. Now to be honest if I was buying this for myself I would find it very hard to justify the cost but as this was so kindly received as a gift I really can't complain! So basically I'd still choose to buy the MUA one because I'm a cheapskate and because it was perfect for what I needed it for, I'm just super lucky to have the Urban Decay one too.

MUA Undressed Palette Review

This is my new favourite palette! Though also my only palette ... I prefer to buy individual eye shadows as I don't tend to use all the colours from one palette. But this is amazing, every colour in it is beautiful! The brush that comes with it is pretty useless but what can you expect for £4.

I decided to pick up the palette after I saw that it was a dupe of the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I searched google for some swatches and they look almost exactly the same, then I read some reviews and was equally impressed.
And as expected, I have been really loving it! It has a great selection of colours and I have been using shade 5 to fill in my brows on a daily basis.

There are some great tutorials available online for looks using this palette or the urban decay one, one of the best I have found for the MUA palette is this one. And for £4 you can't go wrong for so many different looks.

You can't really see the eyeshadow that well in these photos but it was only a simple look, I followed the first tutorial in the video I have linked above.

Have you tried this palette? Or the urban decay naked palette? Which is your favourite if you have?

October Favourites

I have been watching so much youtube recently, I'm a little obsessed. But anyway, I was inspired by these to start a new feature... monthly favourites! So here goes...

1. Starbucks Chilled Caramel Macchiato Latte-These things taste amazing! As do the bottled frappuccinos.
2. ABC's Once Upon A Time-I have been watching this show since the very beginning and am totally obsessed. So happy Season 3's finally here!
3. MUA Undressed Palette-This is a beautiful and versatile palette with a great selection of colours.
4. Sara Bareilles Brave, Chasing The Sun and Hercules-Chasing the Sun is my current fave but the other two are close contenders.
5. Maynards Sour Patch Kids- I am so happy that these have arrived in England, they are delicious!
6. Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss stick in Fucshia-ristic- This has long been a favorite of mine as it has the colour of a lipstick but the sheen of a lip gloss with out the stickiness.
7. Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant by Veronica Roth-I am obsessed with these books! I read the first one in 2 days and can't wait to read the third.
8. Compass by Lady Antebellum-I have been a fan of Lady A for a while now but their new single is one of my favourites yet.
9. Loreal Super Liner Perfect Slim in Black Intense- This is my new favourite eyeliner! The tip is so thin and precise and the formula lasts all day.

And of course I have been obsessed with Katy Perry's new album, 'Prism'!

Let me know your favourites this month in the comments...
