Day 12: A Chistmas DIY

Say Hi to Ruddy!
Today I have decided that my Christmas DIY is going to be a nail art tutorial-more specifically a Rudolph the Reindeer accent nail.

First I painted my nails in Maybelline Colour Show Downtown Red except for my accent nail which I painted with Sally Hansen Cappuccino Creme.
Then I used the red again to dot the nose on and Barry M White to make two dots for the eyes.
Finally I put two smaller black dots in the white ones, a curved white line on the nose to make it look shiny and used a pencil to draw on little black antlers with my Barry m black polish.
To finish it off I painted all my nails with a clear top coat and then sat and admired them rather than doing my maths homework :)

Big Blogmas Project Day 1: Sparkly Nail Art

Now I obviously wanted to kick this off with a pretty good post so I went with a quick and easy nail DIY perfect for all those Christmas parties! All you need are two dark wintry shades, I chose maroon and black, some sellotape and a glitter polish because what's Christmas without a little sparkle?

It's really quite simple, all you have to do is paint a base coat then lay little strips of sellotape diagonally over the nail. Then paint the top half one colour and the bottom half another and peel of the tape before it dries. To finish it off paint the glitter in the middle strip, let dry and seal with a top coat.

Hope you enjoyed day one!

Christmassy Santa Nails and Primark Nail Art Brushes

After I got home from the German Market on Friday I decided to  paint my nails all christmassy :)
On my thumb I did Santa's face, on my middle finger I did his jacket and on my little finger I did his hat, then the rest were plain red.

I used some new nail art brushes that I picked up in Primark whilst I was out, there were 10 in a pack for £3.

As you can see I have already managed to get nail varnish all up the 2 on the right doing my Santa nails.
The set comes with 1 fan brush, 4 long thin ones in varying lengths and then 5 normal brushes in varying widths and lengths. Plus each brush comes with a protective cover.

Have you got anything christmassy on your nails?
