Top shop lipstick in Wicked

PS I totally forgot to mention I got my hair cut! It's like a little bit longer than shoulder length now, and I said goodbye to my blonde :(

I've been meaning to review this since I brought it in the sales, oops! I'm very very very late to the topshop lipstick party, but I have to say I seem to have finally found a product that lives up to the hype! I'm absolutely in love with this lipstick, it's easily my favourite lipstick formula (excluding my liquid lipsticks). It's matte on the lips but doesn't feel drying, it's creamy and very well pigmented too, plus rather long lasting. It's a dark rust red in the bullet but comes up more purple toned on the lips. I'm really disappointed that these are usually priced at £8 since I got this one in a set with a blush for only £6 (Bargain!) However I would say that they are definitely worth the £8, I genuinely prefer it to my MAC lipstick and will definitely be picking up some more. I'm also rather annoyed that we're coming up to spring now because this is the perfect winter lip shade, though I'll continue to wear it well into spring because it's easily my favourite lipstick at the moment.

So has anyone got any colour recommendations for my next one?

Apocalips and Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick

First things first, I have decided to link my instagram account to my blog finally! So you must should go follow me at katiecorbs98! There is also a link on the right below my picture if that easier for you!

As you will most likely know from previous posts I am a HUGE fan of the Rimmel London Apocalips. I have 3 now but unfortunately I have lost my first one which was Stellar, I have looked everywhere, in all my handbags, my makeup draw, my makeup bag, my blazer pockets. I have no idea where it is and thus I am not happy. But at least I have my 2 new ones since they are my faves.
When I went sale shopping after christmas I brought my new apocalips's on 3 for 2 along with a new Kate Moss lasting finish lipstick in the shade 110.

These are the swatches of the 3 lip products-

And here is the 2 apocalips on-

As I have mentioned before the packaging of the apocalips is gorgeous and I think it looks very expensive and its really helpful that the colour of the apocalips is on the tube so I don't have to open it or even look at the bottom when I'm rooting through my draws trying to find the right one.

I already have one Kate Moss Lasting finish Lipstick in 016 with the black packaging which I'm not a huge fan of, it's a beautiful colour but I just don't really like how it goes on my lips. This, on the other hand glides on very well and stays on for quite a while too. Its a lovely orangey red but there's a swatch of it up top too for you to see.

Here is a picture of it on-

So what do you guys think of the Apocalips and Kate Moss lipsticks?

Mua Lipstick Review Shade 1 and 4

Before buying any makeup I like to read a few reviews to ensure that I'm not wasting my money, and I was very surprised to see that these lipsticks were so highly rated considering their bargain price of just £1. Since all the reviews were so good and they cost so little I decided to try a few out. I brought shades 1 and 4 a few weeks ago but in all honesty I wasn't very impressed.

The photo below with the flash on is a more accurate representation of the actual colour of the lipsticks.

Considering you can buy all 16 shades for almost the same price as one MAC lipstick I was worried they wouldn't be very pigmented or be very long lasting. Unfortunately I was right, at least with shade 4, the colour barely shows up on my lips at all and is pretty useless to me, the only redeeming factor is its scent, it smells absolutely amazing, I have been wearing it just because it smells so nice!

Shade 1 on the other hand is much more pigmented and I actually quite like it. It is definitely reserved for night time though as its so dark, but I do think the packaging is really nice and expensive looking considering the price.

And when the lipstick runs out, dont forget there is a little pot on the end which you can unscrew and use too.

Comment below your opinions of the lipsticks if you've tried them out.
